Dirty Harry is a great movie with one of the most memorable lucky quotes ever. Dirty Harry was lucky. The punk, well he made some interesting decisions. Recently I was thinking about how lucky I was to be born to my parents, in Auckland, in New Zealand. And that I have a duty to make the most of that luck. I was thinking that just those factors make me very lucky. Those factors mean I could do anything, become anyone. Have I? Could I have done more up to this point? Maybe. Would I have done some things differently? Yes! Would I be where I am today if I had? No. And there's the rub. I like where I'm at today and I feel lucky. Do you? Take stock of where you're at right now. Here's a start for you. You're lucky just being able to read this. Then add the computer, the phone, the office, etc. Make a list and then read through it. ... Do you feel lucky? Well do ya, punk? Put the list somewhere you can read it from time to time. It might remind you to do a bit more or go a bit further and make the most of your luck. Funny thing, by doing these things you could also start to get even luckier.
