Most people havemultiple talents. But many never experience them.

Life gets loud, complicated, overwhelming, and they become so caught up in surviving that they never stop long enough to ask:"What am I actually capable of?"

Here's a truth:

You've have abilities, instincts, strengths, quirks - that is raw talent - for a purpose.

They're sitting there, waiting to be used. One might say, they don't reveal themselves to people who rush. They reveal themselves to people who look.

This week, take the time to search for what's been hiding inside you. Make a list of the things you've always wanted to try.

Courses, skills, hobbies, training, coaching - the world offers more learning than any one of us could exhaust.

Instead of asking,"What can't I do?" ask,"What might I be surprisingly good at if I just gave it a real go?"

Some tips that might help the search:

  1. Find a mentor.
  2. Ask questions.
  3. Talk to people who already excel in the areas you're curious about.
  4. Borrow their belief until you grow your own.

And when you hit challenges, and trust me, you will, don't confuse difficulty with a lack of talent. Difficulty is a doorway, and you can walk through it with confidence and belief.

Believe you are special.

Believe you do have gifts.

Life feels very different when you discover a new one and start using it.

This Week's Motivator

Spend one intentional hour discovering or developing a hidden talent. Block out some time - you have some time for sure, protect it and treat it as training.
